1771 ife/c configuration msg in clx with RIO

hi,I was wondering if anyone used clx processor with plc5 RIO rack via DH+. i want to ask about scaling and configuration word in 1771-ife2 series c and1771-ofe2/b. I am not able to check at field and only the offline file is available. is it better to copy the int word in the data file in rslogix5 or rely on the setup screen of BTW for the range as shown below? though in the table when 1771-ife is clicked in IOconfig chassis, the raw max is 100 or 256 while the range is -+10 vdc. is it still safe to use the same settings like signed magnitude or BCD in clx?
