Siemens s400

Hi! I have CPU 400 series, but software is for 300 series STEP7 v5.3. is it possible that the software can't upload program to PLC because program are written with software for 400 series PLC? when I do Compile I have lot of errors

S7-300's and S7-400's are programmed with the same package. Step 7 V5.4 is the latest.

If the program was written for a S7-300, you would have to change the CPU in the hardware profile, not sure if you can change between 300 and 400 CPU's though, you may need to create a new shell for the 400 and copy and paste the blocks across if you want the same program.

Actually, Step7 is up to v5.5. The latest software is their TIA Portal package.
