Posted 19 Nov 2012 Hi, I'm quiet fresh in my career and still new to the PLC world. Currently at my plant we have Allen Bradley PLC's (ControlLogix, PLC 5/30, PLC 2/30). This past year I have understood a little from troubleshooting various problems. But I want to learn in depth. I'm just challenged to find the time to do so. I want to start by learning the basics, interpreting ladder logic, editing, programming, how communication between controllers and field devices takes place etc. Please guide me if you do know any resources, materials, softwares, websites etc. that can help me start learning Greatly appreciate your guidance! Posted 20 Nov 2012 There is much to learn right here on this site. Refer to the downloads section downloads , there are among numerous other things, a set of books by Hugh Jackman that I highly recommend. I learned a lot from this guy. There are many tutorials and videos. Reference material and whatever else you may need to get started. The guys on this forum are the best also, no trash talking jerks who want to brag about how smart they are? They really want to help, and spend a lot of their personal time to do so. So hang around a while and use the resources that are available here. And ask all the questions you can....
