ModSim32

Does anyone have experience using ModSim32 to simulate a network for Wonderware? I have a project built for a client on InTouch ver 10.1 and I installed ModSim32 to my computer to test connections but I haven't had any luck connecting the two. All the manuals I find detail how to connect and configure a Modbus I/O server which the process doesn't seem to apply the same way for the simulator. And Wonderware isn't even recognizing that ModSim is there to connect to. Modbus is a offered selection but it doesn't equate the ModSim to Modbus. I've looked around for drivers but haven't found anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
