Posted 7 May 2012 Hi all, Till today Data logging were made only in HMI whether in PC or Panel. My question is can it be done in PLC for how long(im sure depends on PLC memory) and how many parameters can be logged. and is there any data loggers with communication or any other application that the data that have been logged can be read or transferred or carried out of the logger. ant suggestion will be excepted with all respect. Thanks in advance, Best Regards, Greg.
Posted 31 May 2012 (edited) Hi Greg, I know some loggers they have FTP functions for the logged file, such as ICP DAS WISE-5800, it can send the logged file to email or FTP. Some of the PC application can read those data through simple functions, such as KingView can read files such as *.csv format, and display those data on the screen. It is also depend on your application requirement. Luna Li www.wellintech.com "Walk with you all the way to success!" Edited 31 May 2012 by WellSCADA
Posted 1 Jun 2012 Mitsubishi offers data logger modules for their Q Series and FX Series PLCs, which can store loads and loads of data to a Compact Flash card. Doesn't eat up the registers in the PLC memory.
