I have been dealing with a re-occurring problem with a 1747-ABS card in a 13 slot chassis with another 13 slot chassis interconnected to it.. The card is generating a E51 and L31 fault.. All cards have been visually inspected and swapped one at a time, both chassis backplanes have been changed, the ABS card itself has been changed and I am still getting this fault.. It will run for 2 days to 2 months to 5 seconds between occurances.. Any help out there to help troubleshoot this?? I currently have a new interconnect wire on order.. I am also wondering if the power supply for the second 13 slot chassis may be part of it (the second chassis contains nothing but analog I/O and the operating voltages are fed thru the backplane).. Does this sound feasible?? The first chassis (which the ABS card is housed in) has 7 or 8 Triac output cards in it as well as a couple AC input and a fast DC input card.. This is not a new application and has been running for 12 years.. I have had problems on and off for the past 2 years.. Any input would be greatly appreciated.. I would try swapping the chassis power supplies.
