Can convert S7-300 program to S7-1200

Dear, I have a S7-300 program, can i convert it to S7-1200? Can i use Simatic Step 7 Basic to write S7-300 program? Regards, Chou

NO on conversion down to S7-1200. And there was a package called Step 7 Basic which is a free download from Siemens, and it can program S7-300, just not the networks. Not sure that's the same Step 7 Basic used for the S7-1200. I haven't seen the S7-1200 software yet.

Software for S7-1200 is a TIA portal (act. version is V11 SP2). Read S7-300 program and simultaneously write a new S7-1200 program. You can open both in TIA portal.
