Posted 26 Jan 2012 I've recently been liasing with a contractor who was using RSLogix Micro to monitor a MicroLogix 1200 system. I hadn't seen this software being used before, as I use RSLogix 500 for MicroLogix 1200 systems. Is there any difference between these two programs, either technically or price? thanks... Posted 26 Jan 2012 Yes, the RSLogix Micro software (developer version retail $503.99) will only program Micrologix controllers, whereas the RSLogix 500 Standard software (retail $1,535.20) will program all SLC and Micrologix controllers: http://www.rockwellautomation.com/rockwellsoftware/design/rslogix500/orderinginfo.html http://www.rockwellautomation.com/rockwellsoftware/design/rslogixmicro/orderinginfo.html
Posted 27 Jan 2012 Ok, thanks for that. So the 500 software I have does the same job as the Micro when using MicroLogix software, but the 500 can work with other processors! Thanks! :)
