RFID, SmartCard Reader, Magnetic Card Reader

Hi all, I have a new plant where I'll have card access. I have to use 2 kinds of reader. One RFID and one magnetic/chip ( like credit card ). I mean one for one plant and one for another. I don't know very well how they work. I know that I have a SoftPLC with Codesys where I have a USB Device connection, an Ethernet Card and a Modbus net on serial port. Have you any suggestion on which product I can use for that? I would like to use USB if possible, or ethernet! Thank you a lot! Valerio P.S: which difference between USB Host and USB Device?

HI there, i have some news about the readers. one is a RFID with modbus and i found it in a italian store the other one for a smartcard ( chip card ) should be a modbus reader too. but i cant find online a producer, have you any suggestion? thank you very much!! Valerio
