Posted 12 Feb 2011 I have a Rslogix 500 disk version 5.00.00 that was given to me at work. Will it do me any good to try and install it or do I need permissions or other info to run it? I am currently using the free version t home to learn and would like to use a full version of it. Sammy
Posted 13 Feb 2011 (edited) It's relatively useless without the required license. If you have a valid license, then you could download a much newer version and have full use of it. I wouldn't throw it away, though...many years from now, you may run across an old PC running a version of windows for which that disk just might be perfect. Posted 13 Feb 2011 But either way I have to have the license number?
Posted 14 Feb 2011 You can install it, (if it is supported by the OS of the machine you try to install it on). But, you need a license in order to activate it. When you try to start the software after getting it installed, the first thing it will do is look for the license. If it doesn't find a license, it will issue a fatal error warning and terminate.
