Weather station

Has anyone installed a weather station and connected it to their PLC/SCADA system ? If so, what model did you use?

Texas Weather Instruments, www.txwx.com. Used their "one wire" system. They have a LOT more available these days. It talks protocols that are pretty trivial to get working with a PLC or an HMI/SCADA. I believe they even have an OPC server for it if you don't need the PLC in the middle of the data stream. These days however unless you need truly local weather data or can't pierce the corporate firewall, you can get XML data streams from the major web weather sites for free.

We use Climatronics....Works good tied to a PLC5 and very accurate. We use it for temp, wind speed, wind direction, rain fall, humidity, atmospheric pressure We then tie it to a Ifix SCADA system.
