QNA and File Registers Question

2 posts in this topic

Sorry about the topic title. I'm working with a Q2ASH CPU. I have a need to add a holding data register ie... (R1). Unlike the A series and the Q series where you specify them easily in the parameter screen, the parameter screen shows either to NOT USE or use with what looks like they ask for a memory card. Is a card required? See my picture example of the screen I'm looking at. Edited by marcadams

When you say not like in A and Q Series, you are incorrect. This is exactly how it is configured in the Q Series. Setting can be made by picking USE and setting a target location, or by selecting the second USE option in which case you provide the location, file name, and how many file registers you want in that file. Valid destinations in QnASH are IC Card A or IC Card B, so it certainly appears you need a memory card. In the Q there is a Standard RAM drive which can be used to store file registers.
