Retreiving information from Trend history

Hi I have set up my trends in Citect 7.1 to take a sample of a pressure reading every 2 seconds. Im then saving this data to a file in the [DATA] directory for the history feature in the trend. I know the history file default is to open with excell but there isnt anything of much sense in there. Is there any way that i can view the history files as an excell file i.e. showing the values that are sampled at each 2 second interval to allow me to store the info in a larger data base and make charts etc in excell using this data? You cant read the trend files directly with Excel, they use a proprietry file format, you will need a custom app to read them, alternativley you can export trends from Citect to Excel using the export functions If you look on the Citect website under the Toolbox section (you have to be registered) you can find plenty of 3rd party apps to read trend files
