Lost PCMCIA

5 posts in this topic

Gents, I have a problem with my Dell D400, running Windows XP Pro. Whenever I plug anything into the PCMCIA port the computer freezes up. If I eject the card it goes back to normal. I have re-installed the PCMCIA driver and deleted the PCMCIA devices but nothing seems to work. Also, Device Manager is showing two "generic" PCMCIA devices when I only have one port. This all happened following installation of Allen Bradley software upgrades and and upgrade to SP3. Allen Bradley says they have no record of having this problem but they don't support SP3. Any ideas? Stickman

I rolled back to SP2 and still have the problem. I still have to uninstall 5000 but everytime I try I get called to use the computer... I may have to come in on my OWN time and do it...
