Is there any way I can get more than 24 characters into the symbol name on a S7416-2DP?I am using Simatic Step 7. Thanks in advance.

For Merkers, DBs, FBs and FCs - No. But if you need more than 24 characters, you are doing something wrong ! For values inside DB's - Yes. That is, each time you split into a structure you get 12 characters (I think it is 12 character - not sure if that is the limit). So you can have "Plant".Group22.Section55.device88.parameterset12.value44 for example.
