My first Allen Bradley Inview

3 posts in this topic

Just finished up my first Allen Bradley Inview. I'll have to post an article about it. It was fun to program and set an IP address... It was an interesting piece of hardware to get up and running using the Ethernet/IP module. Here is the chunk of the code I wrote to drive the screen through Ethernet/IP. The screen had 5 messages in it, 2 of the messages screens need varibles updated. One screen used number varibles, the other screen used alpha varibles to carry over a floating point decimal. I've never used so many CONCAT functions in my life before. Rung 25 was my favorite. LOL.... Anyways... inview_program.pdf

Oh, yeah!...aren't they a joy to work with? ...and to think (when first on sale) AB people were saying that they were a drop-in replacement for a DataLiner.

Two years back, I put in several at one of our facilities. They have held up good. No problems with them yet.
