Posted 11 Jul 2008 hello it is possible to animate an object on 3D on Citect Scada?
Posted 11 Jul 2008 Like what for example ? You can animate anything, (there really isnt such a thing as 3D on a screen anyway, they are just 2D images represented in perspective) if you wanted to show a spinning box for example just use a multi state symbol set with lots frames. If you want to run complex animations its probabaly best to create an AVI and run that on command from Citect.

Posted 25 Aug 2008 Citect animation is via frames (much like video with a string of pictures in a row, except generally much slower and more choppy). So if you create each view of what you want to animate and then string them together you can in theory animate anything. Citect does not however directly animate anything other than horizontal/vertical/rotation of an image. Anything more complex than that will have to be done via frames. I have not personally used AVIs in Citect, but if you want a smooth animation of something complex, that does sound like the most likely route. Hope this helps. Good luck!
