9300 RADES Config Software Error?

1 post in this topic

I am trying to flash a 9300 Rades Modem. The firmware is so old, it does not support the WEB INTERFACE flash upgrade feature in newer firmware.... So I must use the Configuration Utility, I downloaded it here: http://www.rockwellautomation.com/services...gUtil_1.3.2.ZIP More info here: http://www.rockwellautomation.com/services...odems/ethernet/ I get an error something to do with this C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX This happens when I try and start up the config program. So obviouslly I can't flash my modem. I tried looking in KB for any info on the HHCTRL.OCX, but I got nothing...anyone ran into this? Can someone download and install that file above and see if it works for you? Do you get that error? If not, maybe I'll try another PC. I am running Windows XP Pro ofcourse. EDIT:........................................................................ Never mind...I should have waited just a second longer.. I used GOOGLE to research the problem. Turns out it's a Windows XP service pack 2, problem. I installed this HOTFIX to fix my problem: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyo...;displayLang=en Here is the info on this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/en-us Well atleast you guys know now....
