Citect connection through PSTN modem

Hi all, Can any one help me in the following questions: 1-if i need permenant online monitoring for citect scada which is connected to mitsubishi plc via pstn modem,must i use the modem in transparent mode?and do i need a single dail up at scada start up? 2-when i put the modem in transparent mode , can i configure the tags in scada with mitsubishi addresses directly(is it same tags if i connect the scada directly with cable to the plc)? 3-do i need any extra programming in the plc to do this connection?like send or recive data through the serial connection to the modem?or there is no need for that only make the right configaration for the serial port,baud rate,parity..etc? Thank you for your help.

You do not need any extra programming in the PLC just the correct (dip) switch setting for your C24 module.
