Is the laptop connected to a network where another PC has a floppy drive? If so, then share the floppy drive and then from your laptop broswe to the floppy drive and map a drive letter to the shared drive. Now as far as EVMOVE is concerned, its a local drive. From the AB knowledgebase at http://www.rockwellautomation.com/knowledgebase/ you can also download a free program called EVMOVECF.EXE which will move the activation from a floppy disk to a usb flash drive and then from the USB flash drive to your hard drive. Tech note 31319 has the download and instructions.

When I first ran accross this, I got around it by using a flash card adapter and mapping it to the A: drive. I then copied all the files from the master disk (using another PC), and finally used RSRepair to create the license file on the flash card. http://www.sac.sk/files.php?d=14&p=30 I think there is now an option supplied through Rockwell to put the activation key on a flash drive.
