Mitsu FX48 as slave,

5 posts in this topic

Hi fellas, Has anyone connected a Fx series PLC to PC based HMI.? You see.... I'm trying to link PC based ASPIC 3.30 to a FX-48MR . What is the cable that works? This cable seems to be able to dowload programs. Is it suitable? Next does Kepware's OPC server work or does ASPIC make an OPC server for this task? Please advise me. I'll be extremely grateful. Hi, yes this is the programminggable and you can do peer communications to the FX48 using Kepware's Mitsubishe FX driver. ASPIC will have no problem connecting to the server. Fred Loveless Support Manager Kepware Technologies

Thanks Fred, It is nice to know what you said I have a demo version of Kepware4.0 and I''ll certainly try it out next week. The cable can be made. Can you tell me who distributes these things in India and how much would it cost ? for the FX license alone? I'll have to buy it if it works. The Czech made OPC driver is also available it costs about 90 Euro. So it will be between Kep, Kontron-Czech and Mitsubishi themselves Regards, best wishes.. Raj S.Iyer

'Hi, yes this is the programminggable and you can do peer communications to the FX48 using Kepware's Mitsubishe FX driver. ASPIC will have no problem connecting to the server.' Fred Loveless Hi Fred, Following your advice, I did download the free demo for the Kepserver-EX + Mitsubishi FX driver for checking it out before buying. What I find is that the PLC's digital Input, output, and only a few Integer & float data areas within the PLC are visible. Totally, only 40 odd tags are visible and the rest of the data within the PLC are not getting connected. Is it because I am using the demo version? How many tags are displayed using the demo version? because other than the 2 Hr. Limit on the demo version, there seems to be no other limitation. Can you please clarify. And who is your agency in India??? so that we can get a licence. Regards, best wishes, Raj s. Iyer
