GPRS ethernet communications

In one of our projects we need to setup a system to monitor a FlexLogix Controller based system with ethernet connectivity at a remote site in client's adminitrative office. We intend to use GPRS connectivity provided by cellular service provider (like Airtel, Idea, etc in India) for this. Is this scheme feasible? What are the possible hurdles that will have to be taken of? My gut feeling is this will be possible once I can ping the PLC's ethernet module over GPRS. Thanks for any help. RCS
