Quantum I/O Addressing

2 posts in this topic

I'm doing a Quantum plc system, using 32 point digital I/O modules. A typical input module is 140 DDI 353 00 connected via Cablefast 140 XTS 002 06. I'm using Proworx NxT and a little rusty on how traffic cop addresses translate to the actual input terminals on the modules. For example, if I'm allocating 10001 through 10032 to my first module slot, how do those addresses tie up to the terminal numbers? Is it 10001 for terminal 1, etc. or do they run in reverse starting from 10032 ? Am also using analogue modules (8-way input and 4-way output) - I gather these require 9 and 4 words respectively e.g. 30001 - 30009 for inputs and 40001 - 40004 for outputs. Any help/confirmation gratefully received. Haven't been able to locate a manual detailing all this anywhere!

You need the Quantum I/O Reference Guide. It has the wiring diagrams for all of the modules. Here's a link... http://www.modicon.com/nRepository/index.n...prod=quantumpro
