HOW TO CONNECT NT20S

hi guys, how do i connect the nt20s-st121 to a c200 he? after connecting the nt20 to the cpu, can i at anytime disconnect it without affecting the operation of the cpu? im planning to program the nt20s to change timer settings in different machines using the same program and cpu. (note: the cpu's are not linked). instead of using the laptop to change the timer settings. thanks guys

To the serial port. You can set the serial port and screen to host link mode or NT link. Either will work. Unplugging will not affect the CPU but not recommended. Unpluging and plugging in to active serial ports can do some terrible things to the comms chip. Been there, done that, and had to pay the price of having the chip replaced, SEVERAL TIMES!!!!

how much did you spend for replacing the comm chip? from what type of cpu? coz i think i have a busted serial on my cqm1, and was wondering how much it would cost me to have it fix and can i just buy the parts and do the soldrering myself?
