1764MM1 & 1764MM2

Can someone tell me how many words either one of these will add to my PLC memory? They tell me the MM1 is 8k and the MM2 is 16k, is that the number of words? I have searched everywhere I can think of and cannot find this information. Thanks, Don

Memory modules do not add to your PLC memory. They are used for back-up. See PDF MemoryModule.pdf

If you are talking about the AB's ML1500 then the 1764-LSP has 7K memory, the 1764-LRP has 14K memory see PDF Manual here: http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/i...rm001_-en-p.pdf ML1500Memory.pdf Edited 9 Jun 2007 by Mickey

Paraphrasing a now-infamous qoute, "14K should be enough for everybody" :) If your program won't fit in 14K, it isn't a good fit for a micrologix. Move up to SLC 500 or ControlLogix.
