RSBizware, RSSql Database Backups

I want to backup RSSQL and RSBizware databases on a system. I think I found the database, but not sure. I am not famialer with SQL on a windows server. I know EXACTLY what do to with a MySQL database on a Linux server...sigh... Anyway, the file I found is: Bizware_Data.MDF Is that the SQL database on a windows server? What is the best way to backup the database? Also, is there way to purge the data? Say like after 6 months, I want to dump all records older than 6 months?
