Siemens 200 Series PLC's

I have been asked if tha Siemens PLC's output modules can be configured to fail in the on, off, or last state condition. We are working with a customer that has indicated a watchdog timer in the program that will drive a relay that will be in turn tied to a DCS system. I assume that they want to know if the processor faults. In other projects I've done this, or been aware of others doing this, across the data link. In AB it would be DH+, DH-485, or Ethernet. In Modicon with Modbus and with Siemens with Prophy Bus. I ahve created the AB version and have just heard others speak of it.

It can be, Go to system block->output tables It can remain in last condition or on of when PLC goes from run to stop (or power fail??? - I am not sure ) Ramunas
