  1. PLC and HMI freezing issue

    Hi I am using Delta DVP-20-SX2 PLC and Weintek MT8071IP HMI. I am experiencing a very strange issue. Whenever, i connect PLC and HMI to the same power source the PLC seems to freeze and does not perform required operations. However, when i connect PLC and HMI to separate power sources, the PLC keeps on performing its normal operation and updates data on HMI regularly. I have searched various forums and could not come up with an answer to why connection with same power source freezes PLC. Any help will be highly appreciated as it is not feasible to connect separate power sources for PLC and HMI.

    Dear All, Yaskawa Memocon-SC U84S CPU is installed but it is in Stop mode,as its RUN indication is OFF and PLC is not generating any output. can anyone tell me how to shift it to RUN mode as P190 is also not attached with this system. Thanks

Has anyone had experience with EtherCAT Communications using Sysmac, NJ5 PLC & Yaskawa SI-ES3 EtherCAT Comms board for A1000 VFD?  I have looked at the manual, but as I am still green on Sysmac & Omron programming in general.....not sure I understand what to do to simple Drive Status monitoring, Execute RUN/STOP & Speed Select...   4. Delta DVP12SE Modbus TCP Help

    I requested support on getting my DVP to talk to Factory IO for some cost-effective programming experience but the DVP is really poorly documented. The below wording and 2 pictures were all the support I got as I am not a business. The M codes are not listed in the ISPSoft help file and hard to track down, combined with things like "After the reception of the command is complete, bit8 in D1395 is ON" and then if I am reading input registers and holding coils but saving to a D word register how the heck do I convert the data into a useable boolean format for logic use??!! I have no been able to even get the DVP to read or write ANYTHING but I can use a modbus program to turn on the DVP's bits no problem so I know communication works. eg: F05 H500 will toggle coil Y0. The issue is when I try and use the DVP as the modbus client. From my laptop I can use these commands to modify Factory IO which is running as modbus server Slave ID 1: F02 H0000 H0009 (Read inputs 0 to 9) Tx: 00 02 00 00 00 06 01 02 00 00 00 0A, Rx: 00 02 00 00 00 05 01 02 02 C0 00 (In put 6 & 7 are on) F15 H0000 H0009 (force coils 0 to 9) Tx: 00 0F 00 00 00 09 01 0F 00 00 00 0A 02 00 00, Rx: 00 0F 00 00 00 06 01 0F 00 00 00 0A   But how the heck do I format the LD program to actually do those commands?   5. I am trying to get produced and consumed tags set up between 2 1756 racks with different ip's. The 1st rack has an ip address 172.28.6.3. The 2nd rack has an ip address of 10.81.105.8. Would this be as simple as adding an EN2T card to one of the racks and setting the ip of one onto the same network? Or is there a better way to do this?

    Hi all, I have Delta 12SA2 11T transistor type  plc and I am confused about the output wiring, A video on youtube :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kW9AwN2fs4  says that we can connect UP to +24V and ZP to 0V for sinking outputs (NPN wiring) figure1 and the reverse i.e.,  connect UP to 0V and ZP to +24V for sourcing outputs (PNP wiring) figure2, please see the img.png attached here with. The first one is working ok but the second one not, when i connect UP to 0V and ZP to +24V for sourcing outputs (PNP wiring) figure2 then my indicator remains always ON no mater i trigger the output on or off The manual says that the PLC only has NPN transistors in the output inside the plc then how he in the video is showing both ways. Please help me to understand this. Thanks in advance.

  10. Delta PLC RTC Delay

    Hi all. I'm having the issue of an instruction executing 30 - 40 seconds after it is programmed to execute using RTC. The thing I cant figure out is that it is not happening in the whole program but only at certain parts. I've tried using different markers, registers, timers,etc. Just cant get it to work. Any ideas?

  12. Good Day, I am seeing intermittent bUs (communication bus) errors on 3 VFD's simultaneously.  These are Yaskawa P1000's with CM092 Industrial Ethernet Cards. There are Stratix 5700 switches between the drives and the Controllogix 1756-L75 CPU.  Happens every day to every week -- intermittent. Reading parameter F6-98, it indicates a 'connection time out'.  I don't understand why I would receive this fault.  IGMP snooping and querier are enabled on all switches, if that matters. I do not have unicast checked but Yaskawa said that didn't matter.  Packet time is 100 milliseconds.  I welcome any input on what might cause this.  One Yaskawa tech said I should set speed to 100 Mbps (now set at 10 Mbps). Any help appreciated.

Hi Friends, In My new project I have used two Delta PLC'S (DVP-60ES2 and DVP 14SS2) I want to communicate both through RS 485 Communication protocol.We have  tried communication trough manual help.But Master Slave device not communicating.We have checked for any error code in D1130 but it always showning "K0" value.here with I have attached screen shots and complete program for yours kind reference.Kindly help and guide us to communicate.   Master.pdf RS485 master trail 1.dvp Rs485 trail 1 slave.dvp Slave.pdf

Hi  I need to show 2 different history buffer setup ID's in a single Historical Trend graph. as much as I tried only 1 ID of buffer setup is shown on trend graphs, but for comparison purposes I need to show 2 or even more? ( i already have defined 2 rows of my history buffer setup with different D in row 1 and 2 = ID1 and ID2 ) can somebody help me please?  thanks
  17. I am trying to communicate Delta HMI Dopsoft -W software on PC and corresponding PLC program in Delta PLC ES2 .I don't have Delta HMI at the movement.I have prepare communication cable myself. This cable communicate properly when I simulate the plc Software with delta PLC software WLPsoft. But it dosn't communicate with online simulation with Delta HMI software DOPSoft-W .but whenever Ipressed any button on PC HMI I can see the PLC communication indication LED blinking every time. I have set all the parameters of communication many time but no use. I am using comm1,9600,even,1 and station 0 or some time station 1. but I get the communication error 7 and 10. evey time and no action. Every time I compile my program in dopsoft it compile with no errors, and if i go for off line simulation it works fine. I have put the correct read and write address of my used components, like X0, X1 and Y0 and data memory D400 same in DOPSoft and PLC. could any body help in this situation. I can also attached the image files of my PLC Ladder program and HMI program on PC later on.

  19. All, I have been trying for days to find a way to control a yaskawa v1000 over Ethernet. I have been trying to use explicit messaging but I cannot find the instance class  etc in any of the yaskawa literature. All I can find is to use EDS files with RS5000 but I have a micrologix 1400 and I don't have that capability. If anyone has any recommendations let me know. Thank You, Liam M.

I am trying to connect a Delta ASDA-A2 Servo internal motor encoder to a Delta DVP28SV high speed counter input.  I was successful in connecting the servo to the plc on position mode with an external encoder connected to PLC high speed counter.  Currently having trouble in finding the correct wiring between the servo drive and the plc to count the pulses from the internal motor encoder.  Attached are some figures from the servo drive manual. OA --> X0 is obvious, tried s/s to GND, COM-, VCC and VDD... no result. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

  25. Hi All, I'm testing Cx-supervisor communication with ODT Micropower PMAC controller on modbusTCP. I'm able to establish the communication using ModbusTCP driver with cx-supervisor. But, data I'm getting in is Low word first, so not able to convert properly. If anybody has tried any other option/script for this issue? I did not found any setting in Cx-Supervisor as in Kepserver, shown in attachment below: How can we swap the registers read as a 32 bit word from controller? Thank you.
