Hi guys, I have tried almost everything and ran out of option on how can I successfully connect modicon m34020 processor using mini USB with unity pro, I am working in Windows 10 and selected everything possibly correct I can, like setting address to USB, and "SYS" in Set parameters, I have USBplc driver installed and it shows, "disconnected" and local and remote id emptly fields. In my device manager, I can see a question mark on the processor driver "BMX CPU" and when I try to update/upgrade/fix it it simply goes to nothing. While the Unity Pro shows the error "this isn't the right address or the plc is too busy or off". Please advise, if i am missing something. thanks in advance.

  Hi All.I hope you are all doing excellent and also, hope you can help me.Today I contact you as I am having some issue when programming a PLC.I need to create a piece of software that:1) Can control a random number of machines at any given time.2) Each machine is a slave 3) They are exactly the same, do exactly the same thing.--------------So far I have managed to create a piece of code that allows me to control a fixed number of machines but things get complicated when one job does not need 10 machines but 20 and the next one needs 15, and the next need 5 and so on.I have thought to use arrays to do this job but this is an area I have not touched at all and I would like to ask for your advice in this area.I hope everything is understood.Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hi guys, I'm attempting to implement a fuzzy logic controller from scratch. I plan on using a lookup table to assist with retrieving the membership value. Does anyone know how to implement a lookup table. I know there is a L9P_LKUP block in the LL984 editor..except I'm not sure how to actually enter in the parameters or read from it.   Kind regards, Luchek

Hi guys, I'm in the middle of a little university project, I'm attempting to implement a control system purely based on artificial intelligence. A neural network will be used to map the characteristics of a power plant. A fuzzy logic controller will be used instead of the conventional PID and finally a genetic algorithm will be used to tune the controller while the system is online. This is all simulated of course. Each of those AI's will be developed in Matlab. Only problem with that is, is it outputs the code in C or C++ (From memory). I would have to convert this to structured text (Based on Pascal). So to circumvent this problem I thought I would just directly interface matlab to the PLC (Schneiders M340).  My idea being, all the calculations are done in matlab which are then sent back to the PLC. However this presents me with a new problem of how I would be able to interface matlab to the PLC. If anyone has experience with this sort of connectivity, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hi all Does anyone know how or the Tool to use for Exporting Variables from Unity Pro so I can remove the Register base Addressing for Various Tags and insert Direct Addressing I/O to the Alias Of Attribute for those Variables? This then to be Imported back into the project with the New Aliasing in affect. I have spoken to Tech Support and they say there is a tool (Excel Add On) that comes with V11 in a directory called Extras. I cant find the directory lol. He is coming back to me about the tool but could not tell me if this tool will help with the Aliasing I need to do. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas on this.

Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble to setup the GSM configuration so I can receive alarms on my cell phone I'm using Schneider CPU Modicon M340 in association with a communication RTU NOR0200H and a Schneider Modem SR02 MOD02 this is the first time that I work on this kind of project, would you please help me I'm kind of blocked and I need a solution asap thank you for your time

Am I right in thinking that you can't pass arguments into a subroutine (SR Section) in Unity Pro? I am using v8 and can't seem to find a way of doing it. I want a reusable function that I can just call on demand, so a subroutine is perfect. But I need to call it with different parameters. Will have to be a DFB is this isn't possible, I guess.

hi everybody ; 1-i want to connect m340 with hmi (gto) via ethernet and i want to set adress of the (m340) in the vijeo designer but i don't know which protocol of these i can use and how to set the adresses does anyone has a pictured pdf for which protocol to choose 2- do i need to download (run time installer) to the target(hmi) before i download to it or it is already downloaded to the gto automatically .

Hello all, first post here, and thanks in advance for the help. I'm a fairly green SCADA and controls designer and although I worked fairly extensively with these systems in the past, I followed a sightly different career path for the last several years and haven't had my hands on a PLC that whole time. Started a new job and am rebuilding my knowledge with it. Fortunately my company afforded me a PLC to take home and mess around with for this purpose. I feel pretty dumb as I am struggling to even connect with it, haha. Here are the stats: Backplane: TSXRKY4EX (end caps are securely in place) Power supply: TSX PSY2600 Processor: TSX P57 6634 First I attempted to connect via ethernet, using the IP address sticky-noted to the front of the processor: 10.1.1.80. No luck, "PLC address is incorrect, or PLC is busy, yadda yadda". As I understand, the default IP address can be converted from the MAC address. The last two MAC address numbers were: CF.87, which gave me the address 85.16.207.135. Same result with this. I tried pinging both address from the command console and had no luck there either. I happened to have a USB to unitelway adapter (Telemecanique brand) and attempted using that as well, Address:SYS.. Media:Unitelway. No luck, same answer. After a lot of frustration and hours spent scouring the internet for answers, I took the nuclear option and pulled the battery (while unplugged) and replaced after 30 or so seconds. I was assuming this would clear the memory and reset the IP to default (85.16.207.135), afterwhich I could reconfigure and start fresh. Unity still can't connect nor can I ping it. It should be noted that I am using Unity Pro XL Version 8.0, on a VMware image. I did attempt pinging from both the VM and the host machine, both can ping other known devices so connection by the VM through the host shouldn't be the problem. Neither the VM or the host recieved a ping reply from the PLC. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I feel I have exhausted all options and I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot by pulling the battery. As far as whatever program was on it before is irrelevant, the PLC was given to me to do with whatever I wish, so memory loss wasn't a danger. I just need to connect to it. Thanks!!

I have a rack with PLC and Ethernet card and I/O cards . I have an other rack with out PLC , Just I/O cards and Ethernet . I must be able to read the data from other rack through ethernet . How to config those external card into my plc . M340 Ethernet Remote I/O Any help or link or pdf is appreciated in advanced. Thanks

Hello i need to write a very long net in unity pro, the maximum length is 11, can I continue the net in the net below net using a conditional jump to a label? I have been trying but it doesn´t work, the net below is executed dispite the net above is not true as seen in the image attached, can anyone tell me how to continue a net that is too long? Thanks

I have 3 racks . 15 Digital input. Please see the attachment and let me know Do you think this is the good idea to do them for All the Inputs and outputs.? what are the limitation regarding %MW? Please excuse my English. Thanks.

Hi Im new here! Please let me know What cable do you use to program a M340 ? -1- a mini USB ? -2- Ethernet ? -3-RS485? any one can give me a sample test program to test M340? just a dummy simple program to start from there. I appreciate it in advance.
