  5. Exporting a report

It looks like under File, when you are compareing your projects you have report options and from there you could print it to a PDF if you have that installed on your computer. If not there are a couple of nice PDF converters out on the NET for free. Hope this helps.
  6. Search the help files for ASCII Export and Import.
  7. I sent Dr. Watson some files but then I couldn’t stop there so I put together some stuff I had sitting around and was able to recreate it. Since I don’t do cameras any more it was a fun little project.
  8. Dr. Watson, I have switched jobs since then and don't work with the cameras any more. I do have a lot of the manuals and power point information I can send you if you like. Send me a pm with you email and I will send you all the information I have. Hope this helps, Bob

  11. Net -Eni Comms Problem

Just guessing here since you mentioned that a power cycle brings everything back…. Have you set the IP address and unchecked the BootP box? When you configured the device did you save it to ROM?

  15. Sizing Air Conditioners

Ken, I found an AB document on heat dissipation that gave me some information and what to search from in the manuals so I can attempt to size one up. Also, I hadn’t thought of condensation. Thank you
  16. I need to size an air conditioner for an enclosure that contains a number of large drives, a number of small drives and some motor starters. I have read the Hoffman sizing and they mention sizing the heat load of the internal components in Watts which I think they mean the operating Voltage *FLA of the device but the devices don’t give all this off in heat, I don’t think any ways. Is there a percentage that I should take from this calculation and sum all the components to get my total heat load? I have searched some of the manuals but didn’t see anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  17. Congrats Ken Moore on 1k!

  20. I/O wiring to terminal?

Yes each output gets a 2A fuse. I am new [3 months] at this company and that is the way they do. Maybe it has been requested by the customers in the past but it is how they have me do it.
  21. I/O wiring to terminal?

We wire all I/O to terminal blocks except for like the Flex I/O and fuse each output with glass fuses in a 1492-H4. Hope this helps.
  22. I have been searching for a flange mounted bearing with a seal for a 3/8” shaft but I have not been able to find an off the shelf solution. I have search McMaster and MSC but no luck or maybe I am searching the wrong words. I know that is only two companies but they generally have what a person needs for stuff like this. Do they exist? Thanks
  23. Who removes the paint on the back panel when mounting a ground bar? I thought this was the right thing to do or it can’t hurt. I started to think”more” about it this morning and now I am thinking different. Removing the paint on the panel between the ground bar and the panel would only matter if you removed the paint between the panel mounting hardware [studs] and then the enclosure mounting tabs. You would then have good metal to metal contact from the back panel to the enclosure and then the enclosure to what ever it is mounted to but you still need the correct size ground wire to begin with. I may be out in left field and others do all this and I haven’t seen it or I am just wrong in my thinking. What are you opinons?
  24. Susan and Bud, Thanks for the replies and the link. I didn't know that book was online. Happy Holidays
