  1. Vertically Oriented text in RS-View32

I am going from memory here but I don't think you can rotate the text in RSView32.
  2. Now the question: What is the best way to achieve my goal stated above? I am considering two options, but maybe you know of more: 1) Take 4 courses from Rockwell that will get me a "ControlLogix Programming Certificate" 2) Take Ron Beaufort's troubleshooting & programming courses JP72, I have been to some Rockwell courses in the past I can't say anything bad about them but I have also been to Ron's classes and I can honestly say that I would recommend Ron's classes above others. Hope this Helps, Bob O
  3. 1746-NIO4I usage possable?

Welcome to the forum. I will add that this group is very serious about legal software and mentioning that your software "mysteriously appeared" sounds fishy. It is nice that you are going to purchase the Legit software in the near future. Good luck with your project.
  4. Just downloaded the latest AVG and here is a screen shot of the scan results. Is it possible for this to happen or can the Trojan virus attach itself to other software? RS_Trojan.bmp
  5. Responce to threads

    Happy To Help.
  6. Responce to threads

Mickey could it be this setting on your computer?
  7. Ken, I don't remember when I downloaded it and I don't use it and I don't think it came from RA. I will check/search for for what ever you ask on my computer if it helps in the solution of where it came from. And thanks for replying. JAK, My computer has been acting buggy ever since FireFox 3 came out. [i think it was 3]. So this morning I decided to get the latest AVG and do a scan. I wish I was better at this computer stuff myself.
  8. Thanks Bob. I don't think it came from RA if it does actually exist. It may be like you mentioned on how AVG looks at it.
  9. Here is a site that I found this morning. It has a lot of information from a number of different industries. Click a topic, scroll down and get the pdf. The information appears to be form the Department of Energy [DOE] http://www.artikel-software.com/blog/ebook...al-engineering/
  10. I think you will need the AIC and here is a chart. Panel_View_Standard_Terminals.pdf
  11. Rsview 32

I don't remember if the sample projects that come on the RSView32 CD install automatically or if you have to install them separately but I would check your CD if they are not installed. If they are installed, look under RSView32 → RSView32 Samples. HTH
  12. With your laptop set to the following IP 192.168.120.10 try to ping 192.168.120.111. If this ping works ok then set this IP 192.168.120.111 in RSLinx and look at RSWho Hope this helps.
  13. First, thanks to everyone that has replied and sorry I have not responded sooner. I am trying to keep this separate from work as much as possible. We are looking at the CLV6xx scanner from Sick. It uses serial or Ethernet IP so instead of the ML1400 with two serial port we could do as TW mentioned and use a ML1100. Controlsdude Thanks for the information on the read rate. B carlton I just downloaded the manual for the CLV and will into the code match. Also, I have a Dualis OSI-100 scanner to “play” with. It doesn't have the read speed we need but it is another toy. Thanks Again
  14. My friend has sent the barcodes in for evaluation to Sick but hasn't heard back yet. We have talked a bit about the triggering but our first concern was to select the correct communication that could handle worst case of 2000 reads/min. Also, I haven't used a serial port for more then a upload, download or a HMI connection but 2000 read/min seems to be a lot through the serial port but I don't know. Thanks Edit...There isn't suppose to be any rejection. My friends customer would like it to just set an alarm light/horn if the barcodes do not match so it "should" be a small program.
  15. There will two scanners total. One will need to read at the 2000 barcodes/min rate and the other will be located at the final tape station for the completed box. We were thinking about using the ML1400 with two serial ports and an Ethernet port. I would use the two serial ports for the scanners and the Ethernet for programming. Thanks Again
  16. ML1100

Take a look at this thread and go through the links TW and others have posted. http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?showtopic=9514
  17. I have only worked with the DVT systems and I used a sensor to trigger the camera to take a picture once it sensed the part.
  18. RSView32 gfx

Thank you. Now I get to do the job twice, one in RSView32 and one in ME while they decide if they are upgrading to SE. Thanks Again, Bob
  19. Is there a secret way to convert or get the .gfx files from RSView32 into ME? The knowledge base 32502 says no but I thought I would ask just in case some knows something different. Thanks, Bob
  20. If I posted or sent a .mer file would some be able to tell me the PN of the PV+ and the IP address if it has one or how it is communicating? The laptop is getting reloaded so I can’t try to get this information myself. Thanks
  21. is Pay-Pal OK?

If it is PLC or lab related, what type of items are you looking for?
  22. I have a SLC 150 program that I have tried to open with the OLD DOS software without any luck. Would anyone be willing to try to open it and convert it to a PDF for me? Thanks, Bob
  23. SLC 150

Alaric, Thank you. I recommended an upgrade on this to the machine owner this morning.
