Long shot… Does anyone know of a conversion tool to convert Automax code into RSLogix5000? I haven’t seen the code I was just asked about the conversion. Thanks,

Micrologix 1000 analog input problem
Bob O replied to Mr.lemonnier's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Welcome to the forum.... Analog or Digital Input or are they outputs? And which ML1000 do you have PN please and can you post your .rss file? -
I didn't forget about this but I was working on other projects also. I have attached a trend of what I came up with. I tried to roll my own but I didn't like the outcome. It was better then what they had but I still didn't care for it so I switched to a PID control. Also, this was just a short period of time..I will want to watch it during a longer production run. Thanks, Bob O Feeder_Trend82310B.pdf

I have a small install to start in a couple of weeks where the customer is replacing a starter that has on/off control of the feed belt that feeds a rock mill. They are installing a PF70 EC in place to control the feed belt and want to maintain a certain amperage on the rock mill by feeding more or less product. I don't know if there is consistent product feeding the feed belt. I will assume there isn't. I also don't know if the rock is consistent in size. I will assume for the most part the rock is consistent in size. So, from the little information I have given, would you think PID control or roll your own type control. I am using RSLogix5000 and controlling the new drive over devicenet. Thanks

Sorry..I didn't forget about this. I thought I was told I was going to be controlling the speed of a belt but it turns out to be a rotary vane feeder that feed the rock mill directly. The feeder is fed by a constant supply of product from a storage tank. After seeing the setup, it doesn't appear that it will be to bad. Thank you for the replies and suggestions on control. Paul, Thanks for being on this forum. I enjoy reading your posts. Thanks, Bob

I don’t do ebay so I am asking here. Does anyone have any low cost pressure transmitter, I/P or valves I could buy? I would like to setup and play with tuning a pressure system. Thanks, Bob

Not exactly what you asked for but have a look at this on another forum. It may or may not help with what you want. http://www.plctalk.n...ead.php?t=51758

Dogleg43, I don't know if the Roland software or machine will interface with AutoCAD. I would suggest you contact the machine OEM for that question.

I have been asked to go online and trouble shoot a machine that has a Mitsubishi Melsec FX ON- 40MR-ES. I mainly work with AB so this one is new to me. I searched for information but came up short. Any pointers on needed software, cables and manuals is appreciated. Thanks, Bob O

Are you using the analog inputs on the base unit and if so they are 0-10VDC or are you using and expansion card?

We have used this http://www.sensaphone.com/sensaphone_2000.php at a couple of customers. We also add a Ethernet to serial convert which allows us to manage it remotely for the customers. HTH -

Thread view as single posts ! WTF ?
Bob O replied to JesperMP's topic in General Topics - The Lounge
I guess I’m simple. It is a free forum and if there is a problem I just try to roll with. Thanks for your work Chris. -
Mike, You should be ok just uploading your program out of the PV600 and doing the conversion. Good luck with your project.

pcmcia driver preventing system standby mode?

I get something similar also but I just ignore it. -
We have a Roland that gets used every day without any issues. I don't know the exact unit but I am going to guess it is 6-8 years old. Also, if you like I can tell you were we get our plastic from if that would help.

FTView ME 5.1 - Restore from .MER
Bob O replied to abright52's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I have upgraded a 5.0 to 5.1 without issues also but I think the OP is restoring from a .mer file and this is where the issues are coming from. I have never done that so I can't say one way or another. -
I need to go to a customer on Monday to look at the Temperature control PID. I have attached a stripped down copy of what I have to work with. A couple of things that stand out to me. 1. They have it setup for STI mode but they don't have the STI setup in the Status file. 2. They have the PID conditioned 3. They are not placing the PID in Auto or Manual I should be able to clean this up but I do have a question about the analog output configuration. It is set to "Scaled to PID" [0-16383] and 4-20 mA so do I need to rescale this to [6242 – 31208] or is this correct? PID.RSS

Anyone know of a 480VAC single phase heater similar to the Hoffman little electric heaters. http://www.hoffmanonline.com/product_catal...p;itemID=154654
-
The panel is feed with 480 3 Phase and space is limited that is why I was asking about a 480 heater. I was a bit surprised that they didn't have that option but it is probably just me. I will just have to move the main power distribution block and install a transformer for the heater. Thanks, Bob
