  1. Latching and Unlatching.

Hi I appreciate your help and time, I'm very new to PLC's do you have an example or any reference? Regards Rich
  2. It's a quick question really. I'm having trouble with a particular problem. If I latch an output (motor O:2/0) with an input (start I:1/0) which then in turns unlatch by seeing another input (Prox sensor I1/:3). How can you restart the process when the start (I:1/0) is pressed again. Obviously the motor won't unlatch because of I:1/3? I'm rather confused with this one. Please see attachment. Any examples or drawings would be a great help. Regards Rich
  3. I had to decipher some of the wording of what you said, but I would just like to say a big thank you for your help. That's one small hurdle of many to overcome! Thanks! Rich
  4. Hi all, I'm in the early throws of learning to program Allen Bradley PLC's. I am a beginner so lamen terms will help me a lot. My program is for a door simulation, I'm sure some of you may have come across it. It's with regards to rung 2 and 4. The problem I am having is I am using a binary count to flash my output (control panel lamp) S:4/6. When the door is closing I can get the 'close' lamp to flash, but once the door is fully closed I can't get the output (closed lamp) to stay on and not flash. I feel I've tried everything. Banging my head against my desk no longer works. I will include a copy of the code, see attachment. Please try and not pick holes in it too much as its the first time I have tried this. Though constructive comments are always welcome Thankyou Rich.
