  1. Powerflex 40 Amperage

I do not have RSLogix5000 myself currently, but I remember configuring a Powerflex drive some time ago thru RSLogix5000. When you open the RSLogix5000 project, look on the left hand side under the Project Organizer. Do you see the drive there? I believe you have to right click on the drive and select Properties. You will get a popup window with multiple tabs. Under one of the tabs, you should be able to see which drive parameters are currently being transmitted. These are called "datalinks". You should be able to add additional parameters (in your case, Current). I'm sorry that I can't be more of help, like I said I do not have access to RSLogix5000 currently. If you are able to call Rockwell tech support or use the Rockwell Knowledge Base, ask them about datalinks and say you want to transmit an additional drive parameter over Profibus.
  2. Powerflex 40 Amperage

In the Powerflex 40 manual, page 48: http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/22b-um001_-en-e.pdf It looks like Output Current is Parameter d003, I think this is the parameter you need. I have never used Profibus myself. On pg. 112 in the manual, it says you need adapter 22-COMM-P for your Powerflex to give it Profibus capability. Does your drive already have that?
  3. VMware PCI

I suggest you check the documentation for the VMware. I set up VMware once before. I could not use the RS232 port until I changed a setting in the virtual machine to make it detect the hardware. I do not remember now which setting this was, but the documentation told me how to do it. Check this site: http://www.vmware.com/support.html
  4. Maybe because you are multiplying by a number w/ only 3 decimal places? I.e. your gain term is 0.025 which has 3 decimal places. Have you tried rewriting the gain term as 0.025000?
  5. You may want to look at Rockwell Knowledgebase article: 19415 - Troubleshooting Language Support in the PanelView Standard with or without the external font You need a Tech Connect contract to access this article, though. (I do not have a Tech Connect contract myself).
  6. Hello, I am upgrading a system w/RSView32. I am replacing a Win XP PC with a Win 7 32 bit PC but want the RSView32 HMI to remain intact. The problem is, the old HMI has a screen that uses RSLadder. I bought the latest version of RSView32 (7.60) but do not see RSLadder on the installation CD's. So I went to the Rockwell Knowledgebase and article #478645 says RSLadder is not supported on Win 7. I cannot read the full text of the article because I do not have a Tech Connect contract. I have two questions: 1) does anyone know anything about this issue? 2) can someone with a Tech Connect contract retrieve this article and post the text here for my reference? Thank you!
  7. RSLogix500 versions

Thanks, this is what I was looking for.
  8. Does anyone know where can find info on different versions of RSLogix500? Standard vs. Professional vs. Starter. I am looking at this ordering info page: http://www.rockwellautomation.com/rockwellsoftware/design/rslogix500/orderinginfo.html But I would like to understand the difference between the different products. Thank you!
