I am having issues with the digital inputs on a Kinetix 6500 system. I spoke with a Rockwell engineer but with the language barrier he was hard to completely understand. He explained there is a design problem with the internal 24vdc power supply that interferes with the performance of the inputs. He said the problem is being fixed and will be into production soon. He also told me that there was not a tech note on this issue. He said as a quick fix I could wire a capacitor to the power supply but I could not understand what size or how to wire it. Has anyone else had to deal with this? Would wiring the inputs through an external power supply fix this problem?
