Thanks for that great explanation. So Amps have nothing to do with this function (Speed)? Its only scaling and accuracy that all it will affect,...... no damage to the drive's electronics do to higher amps.

Newbie here, Can someone explain to me what is the difference in using a 2.5K vs 10K potentiometer to regulate speed on a VFD. Can I use a 2.5K if the manufacture specs out a 10K potentiometer, or other way around, I know the amps are higher an a 2.5k but does that matter, how do I know what to substitute it with if I don't have the specified one.
