We have not used Sysmac Studio in a while (more than 3 yrs). so when the engineer tries to start it, we got: “Application Error: Failed to Initialize Sysmac Studio. Sysmac Studio will now terminate” There was another post from 2019 saying that there were windows updates and they are rolled back. but that was in 2019, and it wasn't clear what updates were rolled back. I have update the software from 1.40 to 1.56 manually (the auto update didn't work) but the message still appears. We are running Windows 10. Is there anything I can look for to get this resolved?

Sysmac Studio giving me "Failed to initialize"
scottpon replied to scottpon's topic in NJ Series / Sysmac Studio
Hello. I have run the Auto-updater. but it has not worked: It scans for updates for CX-One and Sysmac Studios for 5 minutes. I had to setup an account and in that account register the Sysmac Studio's license (which was hard to figure out which version I had). then I entered my account info and a license. it doesn't accept it. I entered the CX-one into the account and into the Autoupdater. it appears. but no Sysmac Studios. (only CX-One). ARG. Thoughts? I'm thinking remove Sysmac Stuidos and reinstall. -
Well Never mind. The engineer who was having problems with this figured it out. From what I understand, he reinitialized the NB device and enabled the printer. After that the NB device was recognized correctly by the Computer. (Honestly I don't know, it was his experiment.)

Hi. I'm running a Windows 7, 64-bit machine. I have NB Designer 1.4 installed. when I plug in the nb7w-tw00b, it shows up as "MTP USB device", and that the driver install failed. so I opened Device manager and find the item, I right-click "MTP USB device", and "update drivers". I click "Browse for my drivers" and navigate to "C:\programfiles (x86)\omron\nb-designer\driver". I check "Include subfolders". then click next. it does not find the drivers. says "MTP drivers are the best" So I try again: right click the "MTP USB device" but this time I click "browse for drivers", then "Let me pick from my device drivers...". i navigate to C:\programfiles (x86)\omron\nb-designer\driver. I select the bulksub.INF file, and i get this error: "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with WIndows for x64-based systems" NOTE: I just tried this on a Windows 7 32bit machine. same problem. Except the message says "Make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x32-based systems" Any thoughts to get this to work?

Hi, this is my first post. I've been programming to interact with our PLC. My Company purchased CX Server so I can program a Visual Basic Application to read data from the Omron PLC. I was using MS Visual Basic Express 2008 on a Windows XP computer. I gave myself a new computer. so now I'm on Windows 7. I installed CX Server Lite v2.1. I installed MS VB Express 2010 and tried to create a new program with a CX Communication control. It didn't work. When I try to add the component to the form I get: Failed to create comonent 'AxHost'. The error message follows: 'System.runtime.interopServices.COMException(0x80004005):error HRESULT E-FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component... The error goes on... So the first question is: is there a compatibility error between CX Server and Windows 7? Everything seems to work on the XP system still. Thanks in advance. I'm here to try suggestions or any follow up questions. Scott

Thanks. I figured I would see if anyone has tried CX Server Lite and Windows 7.
