Can this also be done with freq drives?

Is there an easy way to synchronize two ultra 3000 drives? The application requires a device to be raised up 12 inches. There is a linear screw on each end. They must go up at the same rate so the device doesn't get in a bind. It can be a standalone idea or it has a 5/02 processor in a plc that I can use also. Any Ideas guys? Thanks
