Well the easiest way would be to tell them to just plug the eprom in and leave it there. However the advantage of transferring the program into the controller is that you can have your eprom back (not the cheapest of things). Both options work (and I have used them several times). Personally I prefer to leave the eprom in as it is easier for the customer (and PLC batteries are very good but don't actually last forever). Regards
