I was project a system with this configuration last year, but at the end of of project i had more 16 slaves that FX3U485MB can have in the network modbus (it's crazy for a Modbus master, for me, std it's 31+master). So i use the HMI (Hakko V606em), like bridge, it was only solution... I'm very interesting to try FX3U and slaves Modbus, like thermoregulator, because i use always the HMI with Mitsu or in this moment VIPA Speed7 with modbus port inside or B&R X20 with Modbus fuction. Some news from Mitsubishi : next month it's probably that will arrive the version of Gx Developer with an important news for FX program version. It will possibile to program a sub program to divide the PLC software like other software (S7 or CX) (in this moment it's possibile only from Q02 version). I can't tell more because it's only rumors, but when i will receive more information, i add in this post. Bye

I have another problem with a only slave profibus, like in an old topic : the profibus diagnostic it's all ok, i don't have any error on the bus, like in the buffer, but also i don't have any data on the register BFM of the modul DP Mitsu, but only for one slave on 5 connected. My profibus net, have 5 slave, one PLC B&R X20 (tramissionOK), one ET200S (trasmission OK only with digital signal), 2 drives ADV200 Gefran (trasmissionOK) and a gateway Peppelr WCS PG210e used to read an absolute position. This slave, don't give any information about its status on DP, but it isn't in error. Wih the same configuration connected at PLC VIPA Speed7 315 (like master), for all test, it's all ok, i have all information from Pepperl gateway, that have the same fuctionality like Mitsubishi. I tryed to connect only the gateway on the net, to change the number of Id in profibus, to change the speed trasmission, to change some configuration of GSD file, but nothing. Now i suppose, like Lika encoder profibus, the master Mitsubishi or cann't understand the information from gateway or the information it isn't in the BFM correct, because i have no more test to do. Some one have the same problem eith FX3U DP Master ? Bye

This is the problem...i don't receive assistance for the test project from german, i use it, cut the functions to other station (1 to 4) and use only the part to station 5. I can send to you the test project, it's very small, i'm very interesting to know wich is the cause of the problem beacuse a feedback of my request to explain the reason, i never receive in this weeks

No, no It's not so easy. The manual that you post it's the basic instruction. But the german test it's not so easy beacuse work on BFM of every module with detection of error and much other register. The question it's a bit only for that slave (number 5) that request a particolar bit to enable the trasmission data. This case it isn't know in italy at Mitsubishi service but only in Germany..because the Profibus it's German ... If you have an email i can send to you the test program

The problem it's on the resource of ethernet module in UDP configuration together at profibus DP module. This is the result of test in this week. The other problem is the solution, there isn't. Any other channel, TCP, not UDP, can't work in the same moment with DP Module run. To control PLC with PC, you must to connect in serial connection or USB. To solve this problem, i use TCP in pairing open connection, with a PLC like bridge (only one without DP module) in this configuration, A (bridge) - B and A - C. It's not better solution because without PLC A, the other two systems can't work, but there is no other. In this moment the PLCs work very fast, with SCADA, HMI, remote assistance , but i'm waiting an answer for the reason of UDP problem.

For exchange data with 3 PLC FX3U ENET i used FX3U ENET modul and i follow the example from the Mitsuibihi site, with an UDP connection. In this mode i have no problem with UDP connection (one PLC it's connected with WLAN) but it's very strange the TCP connection status on the moduls. The first modul, have a GX Developer connection for assistence, but i can't communicated with the modul with this channel, in the same time of UDP. Also another connection with a MAC 405 can't exchange data in the same time UDP. To use GX connection or MAC connection, i must to deleted the UDP channel from the modul. In the second modul, the GX connection sometime it's OK, sometime no, the timeout it's over the second also for the ping test and the connection test for the GX Developer. In this modul i don't have the MAC connection. Another information it's, that i watch the status PLC with GX Developer with TCP (when function) the cycle time it's 64 ms, but if i use the serial port, the cycle time it's 30:32 ms. In the third modul, it's all OK, UDP and TCP, i can test the PLC from WLAN without problem. In the manual the only limit it's for 4 connection MC, non other limit i found. The problem it's not in the hardware beacuse i just exchange the moduls on the other position and the results are the same. It's possibile some problem with the timing ? Bye

With the help of Mitsubishi Germany i can use the Pepperl device. I don't know very well wich is the solution of the problem, because in this moment i modify a test program that put high a bit to enable the trasmission from the master. It's very strange that this information is not possible to find in any manual (mitsu or pepperl) and also italian Mitsubishi service know this procedure ?!? Bye

I don't understand a thing. Example Modbus/siemens. If i read a register read with modbus driver in siemens i must to swap word and byte to have a right value, without this action i don't have a right value, but i always have something in the register. In this case in the register on modul (BFM example 405, 3 word, so 405, 406, 407) i always have zero, no error, no readinf, nothing. In the same time i don't have an error in the master, therefore or the slave or the master write the information in a wrong place of BFM, or master and slave don't exchange data beacuse the request from one side ir both it's wrong. And the end, the major problem it's how can i solve this case, because i don't have other tools to work on profibusdp or on the telegram DP...

In the plant i have 14 station FX3U in ENET connection with a MAC pannel. Every thing it's OK until last month, when i expanded with new function three station FX3U. I need a communication between these PLCs, and from this, become the problem in UDP. In one of this PLC, i have another problem with profibus DP, but there is two different thing UDP anf Profibus... For example in another of these PLC, i have ENET+DP+ASi in the same PLC and without UDP i have no problem with ENET, but in this PLC i don't use slave Pepper so i don't have problem with DP. Bye

In this moment i can't send to you the file of Gx DP, but i can send some screenshoot of test with Mitsubishi and Siemens software. In this moment with the slave 5 (pepperl head) at 12 Mb it' all good from other device, the problem it's only on the register of this slave, but at 12 Mb and master Vipa there isn't a problem, the reading it's OK. Today i downloaded and editor gsd to understand if there is something to exchange in the file configuration of WCS or if there some of different beetwen the other gsd, because i need a reason, with 14 ENET modul, this is a big problem. I have tha same problem two years ago when i started a plant with 3 FX2N on ethernet with MAC 410. The problem was the lenght of CAT 5 cable over 90 m for a station. The ping request it was always OK, but the communication with PLC from the HMI it was very difficult. Now this plant have 14 FX3U Station connected in Ethernet, but each connection is not over 90 m and there are many switch to mantain the level signal good (all TCI/IP connection it's wired with CAT5 non with fiber optics). In this moment one HMI 410, two PC, one PLC and sometimes an external connection with tele service, work in the same time on the net without problem (this is not possibile with FX2 ENET ADP because accept only one channel on TCI/IP). After the panel i have another problem in this machine... with an encoder Lika with interface profibus DP. I can't read the value from encoder and the register (2 word, of slave 9 it's BFM 367 and 368) but it's always 0 for both register. With the same configuration GSD on PLC Siemens, the value it's perfect avaible on PED 256 and PED 258. In the same case, Mitsu and Siemens, there isn't an error on the master, and also on the encoder there isn't an error on the led status. I suppose that the master Mistu can send a correct telegram of request information and the Lika don't answer beacuse the question isn't correct. The Lika hardware it's developed with PLC Siemens and if there is only a bit of difference from to telegram (Mitsu and Siemens) ican't use the encoder. In an other case the answer of Lika where is on BFM Mitsubishi, because no other input register it's write (i have 5 slaves from 4 to 8 and theirs BFM it's perfect...350..366) Thank you....Bye

Not for all case...SSI code it's a standard but you can use MTS sensors with all device, but if you choose a device development with SSI MTS and one with SSI Siemens it's possible that you will have problem (like me with a transducer Gefran). Also Modbus it's a standard, but with Bejers if you send a request with function 4 (ex. 1:40001) you think to use 4, but with a serial analyzer, you can see that the HMI call the device with function 3. And if you use 3 the request it's 4. If a device not agree the code request 4, it's a problem understand why the HMI don't talk correctly with the device if you project all request with 3... (energy analyzer Gavazzi). In the same case, it's possible that Mitsubishi and Siemens (Profibus it's Siemens) use the same standard, but it's also possible that some master use a function, inside, to make the request or send the answer, but i don't know if it's siemens or Mitsu. Today i try with another brand (A&B or Schnaider..) and so i can have more information about. Thank you

Do you now why a GOT1000 1595X new (about June) don't accept the OS of GT Works 2.73 (03.10.00) or another question is why the panel have an BOOT OS 03.09.00. For the solution of this problem i must to use a GT Works 2.5 with an OS 03.03.00, with this version the panel agree the version and i can install the HMI Project on the GOT. The project is builted with the GT 2.73 R . On the manuals i don't find any answer for this problem or a solution to upgrade the OS on the panel. Thank you ...bye

The GT software have Boot OS S like the panel and for this download i have no problem. The GT Software have Standard monitor 03.10.00 and the panel don't accept this version, i suppose that the panel have 03.09.00. In this moment i download a Boot OS 03.09.00 version S, but a Standard Monitor 03.03.00 from another GT version (2.53) because on my PC i have 2.73. The project, screen, communication driver and option, was downloaded with my PC, 2.73 version SW. For the moment it's all OK but it's not clear for me why my SW version 2.73 can't download the OS on the panel (it's new one, buy in June...) Bye
