Position Overview: We are looking for a Manufacturing MES Project Leader with Information Technology and/or Controls expertise at our Clients’ Central Indiana location. Primary responsibility includes leading the design, development and implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System. This individual will develop a program strategy devised to replace our existing manufacturing execution systems with a common, modern, reliable, standards-based application set that can be cost effectively maintained. This person also serves to produce the MES application blueprint that would be recommended Corporate wide. Responsibilities include: - Building and executing plans to take the high-level functional requirements to an approved contract. - This position will work closely with manufacturing business, controls engineering and IT leadership at both the Corporate and plant levels to execute these requirements. - The individual in this role will manage the MES forward into design, development and acceptance test. - This individual will also coordinate planning, implementation and support of the MES working closely with site teams and contract developers and integrators. Requirements: - BS in IT, EE, ME, or related fields - 5 years manufacturing experience - MES (Management Execution Software) experience in an automotive manufacturing assembly environment (discrete manufacturing). - Strong Project Management skills, Planning, Prioritizing, and Goal Setting - Engine Assembly Execution and Controls Systems Expertise - Knowledge of or Interest in Learning MESA Models, ISA-95 standards and OPC technologies - Experience working with custom and/or COTS MES solutions such as Rockwell Automation Datasweep, Apriso Flexnet, Siemens Simatic IT, GE Proficy, Visiprise - Experience with process improvement using 6-sigma DMAIC or DFSS If interested please email a copy of your resume to Charity Middleton @ cmiddleton@automationtechies.com
