    Hi, I am New!

  1. I have several processors on a network and on any of the ethernet processors SLC-505 or Micro 1100 I can't see the processor names but on the micro 1200 with net ENI card I can. How do you set up the 505 or the 1100 to show the names??
  2. Just FYI if anyone uses the Cognex Dataman it cannot communicate through both ports at the same time. I found my problem!! I was hooked up to the Dataman with the USB cable which wouldn't allow the plc to make a connection over rs232. I unplugged the USB and it started to work.
  3. Does anyone know what the error "OEh" is. I am getting that on my ARD instruction. And secondly does anyone know what the cure would be? Thanks
  4. I have a micrologix 1100 and am trying to read a string from a Cognex dataman barcode reader. My ch0 is setup as ASCII and has a baud rate of 9600 and no parity. The dataman is also setup with a baud rate of 9600 and no parity. I can clear the buffer and try to do a read, read line, or test buffer for line and it won't find anything. If I hook the dataman up to a hyperterminal I see the string. I haven't used ASCII over serial before and I'm not real sure if my termination characters are correct. For term. 1 I have /d and term. 2 I have /ff which are the defaults. In the Cognex I am sending a 8 character string and then a carriage return. Can anybody help?? Thanks
