  1. Or I can type in the name of a label (see the first of my pics) - but my question is, can I pick from a list of the labels defined or do I need to either remember them all or have a printout sitting on my desk? It's very primitive not to be able to select from a list. Mike
  2. I'm using GX Deveoper 8. To familiarise myself initially I'm playing around editing an existing program. The program has some global variables defined with labels (not the same as comments, although many of them do have comments). The "Enter symbol" dialog box has a drop-down to select the instruction, but just an edit field for the label with no drop-down or list option shown, it seems I just have to remember all the labels instead of picking from a list. That can't be right surely? Mike
  3. A complete newbie question this (I'm familiar with Logix500/5000 but totally new to GX Developer & its friends). When I add or edit aninstruction, up pops a little dialog box for me to choose/change the instruction type and type in the register/address/label/variable (whatever the appropriate terminology is in GX-speak). 2 questions: 1) What does the little button to the left of the instruction type drop-down do? When I click on it it changes but appears to do nothing else. 2) More importantly... instead of having to maintain list of all my labels (etc) in my head, or elsewhere on the screen, can I make it pop up a list to select from? Thanks, Mike
