  1. The error in four different languages really did not display an error code per say, it did display some errors upon rebooting or power down power up (PDPU) as I would call it. The errors were: 2016 - Application File Contains Errors and the next PDPU 1110 - No validate application Do recover from an ERROR in four languages, I had to press the SECRET KEYs to erase the eprom, then re load the application. Ofcourse AB tech support is STUMPED they won't admin it. I submitted my application to them and have not heard back from them. The firmware version of the Panel View is FRN: 4.10. which is not as new as your 4.20. So maybe I'll try that next. I gotta do something instead of waiting around on AB to help me. Thanks!

  2. Has any tried teaching MULTI colors with the same window tool using a Keyence CV-700. For example, I have an application where I have three different colors to look for, however I want to use just ONE window tool to pull this off. Has anyone tried this yet? Did it work for you? The camera in question is here: http://world.keyence.com/products/vision/cv_700/cv_700.html

  3. I am having this problem with the panel view 550. Every now and then the machine will be running for a long period of time. Without any operators touching the screen. Then if you touch the screen, the panel view will black out, and say ERROR! in four different languages. Ofcourse it loses comms right away, and you pretty much have to power down and power up to get any where after that. I've called AB support and when through the rounds, and they tell me they have had problems with BAR GRAPHS and and such things to check, but no answer to my satisifaction. Has anyone else seen this problem and did you fine a solution? Knowledge base at AB has nothing on this matter either.

  4. I like to hear the words OVERKILL...you can never overkill anything when it comes to automation. I thought it would be nice to break up the forums so that everyone who didn't want to know about Omron PLC's didn't have to look at that stuff. I hope you come back. I need some good people and looking for some MODERATORS to take control of sections. Thanks! :D Oh an I was going to say...I am not a LINUX freak, but I like to play. I still use Windows 2000...lol....

  5. Well...the second...I am the first. But I am glad you are here! This site is BRAND NEW...I am trying to talk to some other engineers to help out! If you have files of PLC code you'd like to share. Please post that too!  :D I was also going to say, if you need us to add other groups, such as Omron or more detailed PLC or automation groups, just drop us an e-mail.
