  1. Slc 5/05 dhcp?

Hey wow....great explaination. I liked it! And it made good sense. Why not sign up as a registered user and stick around a bit, we could use some more engineers to help.
  2. Omron

Jay! I will be glad to do it for you. Would you like to moderate it also?  :D
  3. We just got a new visionscape express from RSVI. It's a pretty kewl package. Windows NT 4.0 comes prepackaged. But so far we have had nightmares with some of the previous VisionScape stuff. Does anyone have a running VisionScape Express up and running? (Kewl looking BLUE colored computer) App Factory is installed too. Same as before, maybe less BUGGY is what I hope to here from you guys.
  4. Has anyone had any luck using SMAC servo? (MOVING COIL ACTUATORS) http://www.smac-mca.com http://www.smac-mca.com/smac/new%20product.htm Any problems? Anything I need a heads up on before I dive into these babies? Thanks in advance for your input! :D
  5. Trouble with pv550?

Ed, This is sort of what I was thinking, but wasn't able to prove it like I needed too. (I think you are thinking the same as me..lol) The panelview is on a two node DH-485 network. Using SLC 5/03 OS301. We do have that green and yellow "FAT WIRE" connected too, so I think we are golden there. I finally got an e-mail from our AB rep today, they are saying it MIGHT BE a bug in PANEL BUILDER....no way...I can't believe it...anyway... I seemed to think it was something along the lines of hardware too, but couldn't quite pin it down. We will see what the big giant brings on in the next few days. :)
  6. I am having this problem with the panel view 550. Every now and then the machine will be running for a long period of time. Without any operators touching the screen. Then if you touch the screen, the panel view will black out, and say ERROR! in four different languages. Ofcourse it loses comms right away, and you pretty much have to power down and power up to get any where after that. I've called AB support and when through the rounds, and they tell me they have had problems with BAR GRAPHS and and such things to check, but no answer to my satisifaction. Has anyone else seen this problem and did you fine a solution? Knowledge base at AB has nothing on this matter either.
  7. Trouble with pv550?

The error in four different languages really did not display an error code per say, it did display some errors upon rebooting or power down power up (PDPU) as I would call it. The errors were: 2016 - Application File Contains Errors and the next PDPU 1110 - No validate application Do recover from an ERROR in four languages, I had to press the SECRET KEYs to erase the eprom, then re load the application. Ofcourse AB tech support is STUMPED they won't admin it. I submitted my application to them and have not heard back from them. The firmware version of the Panel View is FRN: 4.10. which is not as new as your 4.20. So maybe I'll try that next. I gotta do something instead of waiting around on AB to help me. Thanks!
  8. Welcome to mrplc.com

I like to hear the words OVERKILL...you can never overkill anything when it comes to automation. I thought it would be nice to break up the forums so that everyone who didn't want to know about Omron PLC's didn't have to look at that stuff. I hope you come back. I need some good people and looking for some MODERATORS to take control of sections. Thanks! :D Oh an I was going to say...I am not a LINUX freak, but I like to play. I still use Windows 2000...lol....
  9. Hello!

Well...the second...I am the first. But I am glad you are here! This site is BRAND NEW...I am trying to talk to some other engineers to help out! If you have files of PLC code you'd like to share. Please post that too!  :D I was also going to say, if you need us to add other groups, such as Omron or more detailed PLC or automation groups, just drop us an e-mail.
  10. Site finished?

John, Thanks! I am working one some scripting and hope to have it complete soon! Before the first of the year is my goal.
