    Hi all, I need to connect a laptop which only has a usb to a s7-1200 ( rj45 )  ? Is there a dedicated cable i require or can i use some type of generic of the shelf adaptor?   Thanks,

    Hi,  Could any of you good people advise me on what software i require to access and make program changes to a s7-1200 controller. I’m looking for the cheapest option just to cover this requirement. Ive been quoted for:   6ES7822-1AA06-0YA5 (SIMATIC STEP 7 Prof. V16, Floating License; Engineering Software in TIA portal)6AV2101-0AA06-0AA5 (SIMATIC WinCC Comfort V16, engineering software in TIA Portal Floating Licence). This seems like overkill for what we need to do plus the expense! Thanks.
