Dear Siemens experts, I am a very new to the S7-400 PLC system. I am using a S7-400 414-3 CPU, what I am try to achive is to send some data or constant or integer, via the PLC Profibus though a gateway (AnyBus Gateway) convert the Profibus protocol to Modbus protocol. On the Modbus side I have a computer simulator as a Modbus slave to see what every has been send over. At the moment I can only get the network going between Gateway and the PLC though the Profibus. I don't know is that is a function block has been done for this task. Or I can download it from somewhere. I have try to write in SCL a new block to that function, but it is a bit hard for a newbe. Please give some help and thanks for all the advise.

hey, need some help on add data into data file. I am using RSLogix500, I have add some more records into the "Address/Symbol Editor" but i can't see then in the "Data File" O0-output or I1-input. Also i can't see them when add new rung "--][--" "--()--" in the input or output instruction i can't find all the new INUPUT or OUTPUT, just wondering what i have to do to get those instructions to appear on the "Data File O0 and I1". Thanx for all that help :) That is right "Mr. PLC", the problem that i had before was all the slots were full and need some extra rack with more I/O. Once I have add that in it looks ok to work with. BTW, Do you know where you can get more information on A/B user documations please?

Hey Siemens Experts, Does anyone know how to direct access CPU via the panel bottons? I want to press a botton on the TD200C panel without hit enter key on the panel and the instraction can be fetch to the CPU, such as direct access to a memory location. Thanx very much for your response Chris, i have got that part handled, what i a trying to is to use the up or down botton to send the message to CPU and CPU will do the increment or decrement of the value. At the moment, i can only set a value up on the TD200C and hit enter to send down to the CPU memory location which i have signed to in the wizard. So have you got some more experience on this kind of issues please? Thanx heaps for your help!

Hey Friends of Siemens! Does anyone know where to download or get a hold of EM235 and EM232 user or operation manuals? The EM235 is an Analog Combination 4 Inputs/1 Output, and EM232 is an Analog Output, 2 Outputs. Please give some help one these modules, i need them very urgent.
