Posted 5 Nov 2014 Hi, i am a student and i am doing a school project where i have to command OMRON CPM2A with my PC. Basically i have to activate an plc output with my PC by sending and message to plc. How can i do this with serial comunication? i did a lot of research and don´t get any results. Posted 5 Nov 2014 The CPM2 series PLCs have a slave protocol built in called Host Link. A PC can send commands using this serial protocol to the PLC to read and write data. Posted 12 Nov 2014 That is not the correct cable pinout (your pinout looks like a PLC to PLC (or HMI) cable).
