Data Collection Omron CQM1h plc

have a question as to how would it be possible to connect a desktop PC to a Omron cqm1h plc and collect data from DM area's of the PLC. Have application where i am wanting to collect data and import it into a excel file to indicate machine cyclec, bad goods, good goods etc. and then print out the results. Is there a way with the use of a serial innerboard to connect to one of the ports and connect into the serial port of the personal pc? Have read a little on CX server Lite and would appreciate any idea's or examples on to best accomplish this. Thanks
