Posted 17 Feb 2015 Hi Gentlemen, I ran into a Sixnet RTU job recently. I noticed that there's no 1st scan bit! Don't know how to get the run status or the 1st scan bit. Maybe I am not looking in the right place. Is there a way around this? Maybe this is a stupid question but shall appreciate any help. Thanks for looking in. Posted 17 Feb 2015 I've never worked on this RTU, but just use two rung sequentially, usually at the very top of your main POU/Routine. The second run is a coil instruction that is always on, and the first rung is a coil instruction that is only on when the second coil is on. On the first scan, the first coil will be false, because the second coil hasn't been scanned yet. After that, the second coil will be true, and thus the first coil will be true as well, until the RTU is restarted. These bits, of course, have to be non-retentive. When Coil 1 is false, you'll know you're in the first scan.
